No friend

At the beginning of 4th grade, I made a bunch of friends and felt very proud. All that summer I chatted online with people. We played, and I had a lot of best friends.
Then when school started again for 5th grade, I thought I'd have all those friends again. But one friend, Angie, moved to a different class (the one with all my friends in it). My other friend sat by me in math and I tried to talk to her, but all she wanted to do was talk to my VERY best friend, Addy. Soon after, Addy moved away. She didn't say goodbye to me, but instead hugged all my other friends. Then my neighbor who is a grade behind me and doesn't like me very much became friends with all my friends.
A couple months later, I went to Angie's birthday party. All my old friends were there. I didn't talk the whole party because nobody would talk to me. I burst into tears when my mom picked me up in the car. I feel friendless now, but I'm starting middle school in about 2 months, and I can't wait because I want to make new friends.
But even after all of that, I still have a really good friend named Ashley who lives across the street from me. Even though she's going into 5th grade and I'm going into 6th, I have decided that I will make time to hang out with her.
The message from this story is: sometimes good friends get old and you just have to move on, even though it can be very hard to understand that.
